Business and Place are an established consultancy providing place marketing, place building, business engagement and economic development expertise. They support clients all over the country including Dorset County Council, UK Trade & Investment, Somerset Council and the London Borough of Newham.
As an existing client dv8:media developed the brand which carried the business through its first 6 years. Now with a new name for the company and a slightly different direction for the business we were tasked with taking elements of the existing brand and developing them further, to include these new considerations. The result was a new logo and website design.
Business and Place grew from an existing client relationship which dv8:media have enjoyed for over 6 years. The clients brief was that the new development should deliver both a functional content managed website but also include the flexibility of a standalone blog. The website and the blog together should be easily integrated with social media websites such as Twitter and Facebook. It took us no time to recommend WordPress as a suitable solution to all of the client's requirements. We were able to build a web design with static pages about the business, whilst also providing an integrated blog for expert opinions. We integrated the blog so that new entries automatically post on Twitter, then we added the 'Add This' toolbar, allowing any section of the site to be easily referred using social media tools of the visitors choice.
