Plymouth based IT company Westbrook Communications have seen the launch of a new website and services. When new DV8 Media client, Plymouth Community Homes asked us to sub-brand and promote their signwriting business, we jumped at the chance to work with an organisation who is putting their profits back into the City’s community.

‘The SignShop’ officially launched after applying vehicle graphics to their fleet of 400 Plymouth Community Homes vehicles (that was one busy weekend!) earlier this year. Plymouth chartered accountants firm Sheppard Walbridge have recently changed their name after completing the merger of 3 business into one. DV8 have been busy working with local businessman Peter Farrow, to produce a brand identity and ecommerce website to promote a brand new product range. With existing links in the beds business, through The Futon Shop, Peter and his business partner have taken on a new approach by supplying a unique electric bed range, Relaxer Beds. DV8 were commissioned to create the branding and supply guidelines for its use, this was then extended further to include development of an ecommerce website to make the beds available to as wide an audience as possible.

After only a month of the website being live it can already be found on page one of the Google UK results for “recliner beds”, with a strong brand and high quality product we expect Relaxer Beds to go a long way!

Plymouth based travel firm Target Travel have been working with DV8 Media to overhaul their exisiting website. Recently Target Travel have significantly increased the number of vehicles in their fleet and are delivering more and more public service bus routes, this has meant the requirement for better delivery of timetable information for customers all over Plymouth. We created a new website which includes a bus route search enabling visitors to search for information using the route number or their bus stop location, this in turn will reduce the number of calls that will need to be handled by the Target Travel team.

As well as delivering public service route information, the site also demonstrates Target’s strengths in the corporate sector, servicing contracts for well known businesses and organisations including; Plymouth Argyle, Devon County Council, Air Southwest and Plymouth Albion. We were also able to publicise the extensive workshop facilities that are available not only to Target vehicles but also to other travel and transport firms.

Occasion Shoe Limited

dv8:media are proud to have worked with designer, Julie Mawson on the specific requirements for the Occasion Shoe website. As a designer herself, Julie had a clear image of the direction she wanted the site to go in and we were able to work with this to introduce our own ideas, such as the shoe detail viewer. We created a page for each shoe in every colour and worked with photographer, Cassandra Horsley (Cassandra Photography) to introduce some incredible images of each shoe from a variety of viewpoints. We included a zoom feature that enables shoe lovers to hover over each image and see every detail of the shoe up close. The site also utilises our automatic newsletter signup facility, linking through directly to address lists held in full featured campaign management and reporting software.
